Job Responsibilities

As an Auto Sales Representative you will interact and consult with customers to guide them through their vehicle purchase. Your goal is to create the best vehicle-buying experience to make lifelong customers. You will assist customers in selecting the right vehicle for their lifestyle. You will be trained on the specific products we offer and their benefit to our customer.

• Present vehicle attributes, model options, features, purchase and finance options and store policies and services to customers.
• Ensure timely follow up and maintain strong relationships with previous and prospective customers.
• Track customers using store specific management system/s.
• Keep abreast of new products, features and accessories.  Attend product and training courses.

Qualifications:

• Experience in automotive sales, is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills & working knowledge of computers.
• Self motivated with the ability to set and achieve targeted goals.

We're looking for an experienced Mainline Technician to join our service team in Brenham.

This is not an entry-level technician position.

We're looking for someone with strong diagnostic abilities, significant hands-on experience and the confidence to tackle everything from drivability and electrical concerns to major mechanical repairs.

Toyota dealership experience, Toyota factory training and Toyota certifications are highly valued.

THE TECHNICIAN WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for an experienced technician who can be handed a difficult vehicle and knows how to approach the problem.

You should be comfortable with diagnosis - not simply replacing parts.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of mainline automotive technician experience preferred
• Dealership experience strongly preferred
• Toyota dealership experience highly preferred
• Toyota Certified, Toyota factory-trained and/or ASE certifications are a major plus
• Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic skills
• Experience performing major mechanical repairs
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Strong understanding of manufacturer repair procedures
• Commitment to accurate documentation
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Safety-first mindset
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Desire to continue training and advancing professionally

Automotive or technical school training is preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

This isn't just oil changes and tire rotations.

Our Mainline Technicians handle the more challenging work that comes through the shop, including:

• Complex mechanical diagnosis and repair
• Electrical diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Engine performance and drivability concerns
• Engine repair and internal engine work
• Transmission diagnosis and repair
• HVAC diagnosis and repair
• Brake and suspension systems
• Cooling systems and radiator replacement
• Head gasket and major engine repairs
• Warranty diagnosis and repairs
• Multi-point inspections
• Manufacturer recalls and campaigns
• Advanced diagnostic procedures

You'll accurately document your findings and repairs, communicate with our Service Advisors when additional work is identified and follow Toyota procedures and specifications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Service Technician at Tegeler Toyota, you'll diagnose, maintain and repair customer vehicles while working with our Service Advisors and other members of the shop to keep work moving efficiently.

You'll:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle concerns
• Perform maintenance and recommended services
• Work with Service Advisors to identify repair needs
• Communicate additional service needs and labor requirements
• Accurately document work performed
• Follow Toyota and dealership repair procedures
• Stay current on technical information and manufacturer training
• Help less-experienced technicians as your knowledge and experience allow
• Maintain a clean, safe and professional work area
• Take pride in returning vehicles to customers fixed correctly

EXPERIENCE

Experienced technicians are encouraged to apply - but we're also interested in people who have the mechanical ability, work ethic and desire to build a career as an automotive technician.

Automotive training, dealership experience, ASE certifications and Toyota experience are all valuable, but we're interested in finding the right people, not simply checking boxes on a résumé.

A valid driver's license is required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Service Advisor, you're the connection between our customers and our technicians.

You'll greet customers, listen to their concerns and help determine what their vehicle needs. You'll communicate with technicians, prepare estimates, explain recommended repairs and maintenance, keep customers updated while their vehicle is in the shop, and make sure they understand the work performed when they pick up their vehicle.

Just as importantly, you'll help make sure every customer feels like someone is paying attention and working to solve their problem.

EXPERIENCE

Previous Service Advisor or automotive dealership experience is a plus - but it is not required.

If you've worked in retail, hospitality, sales, banking, insurance, restaurants or another customer-service-driven business and know how to communicate with people and solve problems, we want to hear from you.

We can teach you our systems and processes.

We're looking for the right attitude, work ethic and personality.
